my husbands job bought us here originally! he works in tech, and so that is how we ended up in sf! we had visas to begin with but now have greencards, and looking into citizenship. we could not love california more. i would suggest applying for jobs that would aid in you moving i also know people that have been successful with the greencard lottery too. but yes, they are hard to get—i feel incredibly lucky.
